Father's Day gift ideas

Father's Day Specials

5th June 2022

Whether you're a last-minute panic buyer or an organised gifter, we have picked a selection of the best Father's Day gifts for 2022. If you are fortunate enough to spend time with the special man in your life this Father's Day, then time together is undoubtedly the most precious gift. If you still need a prezzie idea though... we have it covered.

1. Time together

After so much time apart from our loved ones over the last 2 years, give your dad the gift of time this Father's Day. Whether you decide to book Father's Day lunch with us, dine out somewhere else in Malvern or cook up a storm at home, appreciate the moment and enjoy the time together. Browse some of our recipes for home-cooking inspiration.

This 100 things to do with dad bucket list at NotOnTheHighStreet is a thoughtful gift idea.

2. Gift vouchers

Treat dad to a gift voucher for a meal out, shopping or an entertainment venue so he can look forward to something he'll enjoy.

3. Plan a spa day

A spa day isn't just for mum. Gentlemen can also benefit from a day of mindfulness and relaxation. Book a spa day for dad at a health club where he can try the fitness facilities, relax in the pool and sauna, and experience a holistic treatment or two. Most health clubs and spa hotels also offer a cream tea or traditional afternoon tea or roast to top off the experience.

4. Get something delivered

If you can't be together this year then why not order something to be delivered on the day? This Father's Day Pork Pie gift box from M&S is a delight. The beauty of something deliverable by post is that it doesn't have to be local, which opens up your options.

5. Beer tasting

There are many operators of food and drink tours and wine or beer tasting in Malvern. Just Google 'beer tasting Malvern'. It's a great day out and educational at the same time. Plus, it tastes great and you can buy more for later.

6. Book a performance

Book a performance at a nearby theatre. Your local theatre guarantees a beautiful venue, local and offers some classic and modern films and performances.

7. Book a cooking class

Can't cook, won't cook? Loves to cook? A cooking class can be great fun, very amusing and also teach a thing or two. We even run them at our restaurants from time to time! We'll post them on our food blog as they happen.

8. Plan a trip

Are you one for big holidays with extended family, all the generations accommodated together? Or perhaps you've never tried it. This year, why not consider a staycation, even for a weekend, and enjoy some quality time together. There are so many beautiful places to see in the UK coast and countryside, or perhaps even a city break!

9. A cinema movie night

Play on his love of film and treat dad to a cinema trip or opt for a voucher so he can choose his own movie night. If you book it as a father/son or father/daughter date night, why not book an early showing and head over to Aldwyn's afterwards for dinner or afternoon tea.

10. Go fishing

Many men enjoyed a spot of fishing in their younger years and many still do. Treat dad to a guilt-free escape to a new spot and maybe even buy him a couple of supplies for the trip. Why not join him and let him impart his pearls of fishing wisdom. Dads love a teaching moment.

Whatever you decide to do this Father's Day, take it all in and enjoy every moment. If dad cannot be with you this year, then reflect on happy memories and perhaps mark the occasion by filling your day with something dad would have loved.
